Archives up to 512 MB open, because the whole file is loaded into memory. Entries over 512 MB, archives with more than 10,000 entries or more than 2 GB unpacked, and archives that expand more than 200 to 1 are refused. Links and special files are left out.
Saving several files at once packs them into a new ZIP, because a page cannot write into a folder on your device. For ZIP files with AES encryption use Extract ZIP.

No. The archive is opened by a WebAssembly build of libarchive that runs in your browser, and nothing is sent anywhere.
RAR (versions 4 and 5), 7z, TAR and compressed TAR (.tar.gz, .tgz, .tar.bz2, .tar.xz), ISO, CAB, CPIO, LZH, AR and DEB, and ZIP. A single compressed file such as notes.txt.gz is not an archive; open a .gz file with GZIP compress and decompress.
Only ZIP files with classic ZIP encryption. Encrypted RAR and 7z archives cannot be decrypted in the browser. For a ZIP with AES encryption, use Extract ZIP.
Entries with unsafe paths, entries over 512 MB, archives with more than 10,000 entries or more than 2 GB unpacked, and archives that expand more than 200 to 1 are refused. The last one can indicate a zip bomb. Archives over 512 MB cannot be opened.
