Create ZIP
Pack files and folders into a ZIP archive, with a compression level and an optional AES-256 password.
Drop files to zip
or drop them here, or paste. Up to 2.0 GB per file.
Runs in your browser. Your files are not uploaded.
Password protection uses AES-256. Archives are built in memory-backed blobs, so keep the total under about 1 GB.
Folders added with Add a folder keep their structure. Dropping a folder onto the page is not supported by browsers for this tool; use the button.
How to use Create ZIP
Drop files, or select Add a folder to include a whole folder.
Pick a compression level: Store, Fast, Default or Maximum.
Type a password if you want the files encrypted; leave it empty for none.
Select Create ZIP, then download the archive.
Questions
No. The archive is built in your browser and never leaves your device.
A password encrypts every file in the archive with AES-256. Use 7-Zip, Keka or WinZip to open it; the built-in openers of Windows and macOS may not support AES.
Up to 5,000 files and 1 GB in total.
Store packs the files without compressing them and is the fastest. Maximum gives the smallest archive but takes the longest. Fast and Default sit in between.
