QR code generator
Make a QR code for text, a link, Wi-Fi sign-in or an email, and save it as SVG or PNG.
Higher levels survive more damage but need a denser code.
Scanners need some empty space around the code.
Size of the saved image
Fill in the fields to see the code.
Runs in your browser. Your files are not uploaded.
A QR code holds up to about 3,000 characters; shorter content makes a simpler code that is easier to scan.
Keep strong contrast between the code colour and the background, and leave the margin on, or phones may not read it.
How to use QR code generator
Choose the type of code: Text, Link, Wi-Fi or Email.
Fill in the fields; the preview updates as you type.
Adjust error correction, margin, colours and the size of the saved image if you like.

Questions
No. The code is drawn in your browser, so your links and passwords stay on your device.
The password is written into the code in plain form, so anyone who scans the code can read it. Share it only with people you trust.
Higher levels (Low, Medium, Quartile, High) let the code survive more damage but make it denser. Medium is the default.
SVG stays sharp at any size, which suits print. PNG is a fixed image at 256, 512, 1024 or 2048 px.
