Your browser asks which screen, window or tab to share. Recording stops when you select Stop recording or stop sharing from the browser's own bar.
Runs in your browser. Your files are not uploaded.
Large videos can run out of memory on phones.
Changing the picture uses your browser's own video encoders. Recent Chrome and Edge can write H.264, VP9 and AV1; Firefox and older Safari lack some encoders, so the tools offer only what your browser can produce and say so when something is missing.

Only while you record, after your browser asks you. Both are released as soon as you stop recording or leave the page.
Browsers can share sound only from some sources: Chrome and Edge share a tab's sound, and on Windows the whole system's. Tick the sound option in the sharing window. Safari and Firefox do not share it.
Mostly not: phone browsers do not let pages record the screen. Use a computer with a recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
